William Lawler, MD

Dr. William Lawler

Dr. William Lawler has served as a physician at St. Jude since 1974, practicing hematology and oncology as part of the medical staff, then exclusively at the St. Jude Virginia K. Crosson Cancer Center when it opened in 1998. He continues to practice part-time with most of his efforts going into clinical research and administrative duties. He has been a member of the St. Jude Memorial Foundation Board for the last three years.

Dr. Lawler and his wife Valerie have three sons and have lived in Fullerton since 1974.

What motivates your desire to give back?
I have always supported the philanthropic efforts for St. Jude, believing it the duty to return benefit to others that I have received from this very worthy institution.

Why are you supporting the medical center?
I know first-hand the advantages of having quality care right here in our community.

Why did you agree to join the foundation board?
I feel that serving on the Board of Directors is another way of helping St. Jude. Specifically, I can share my knowledge about the needs in the field of oncology.
